Research goal

  • Develop novel human factors and ergonomics methods, techniques and models (especially digital human modeling, sensing analytics & biomechanics, and ICT/AI/VR-based) to investigate human capabilities, limitations, and interactions among human and other elements of a system
  • Design human-centered products/systems and assistive technologies for improving safety, health, comfort, UX and human performance.

Research area

We are particularly interested in the following 4 research areas. 

Technology and health/safe aging (Focus: ICT/AI-based tools, assistive technologies, and solutions for elderly fall and injury prevention
Digital human modeling and ergonomic product design (Focus: Fit and comfort for custom-fit products)
Human factors issues in VR/AR; HCI
Human biomechanics, behavior analysis and modeling (Focus: Sensing analytics and biomechanics)
