The research model of the KAIST ISysE department has two layers: a methods (tools) layer and a problem (domain) layer. The methods layer is divided into three groups:
- 01Complex system engineering and management
- 02Modeling, analysis, planning, and optimization
- 03Information technology
Traditionally, ISysE has been an issue related to manufacturing and technology innovation. Recently, the research focus is shifting toward the service and value innovation domain.
